Stairs

My first project here was this stairs animation. A loop of 24 hand drawn frames animated in After Effects with the rest of the assets produced in Corel Painter and Photoshop

A fun first try at the good old frame by frame animation. It got me in a great way. Even though this just a simple look its a great experience making it move. This is my first try at frame by frame animation and it works as it is even though the old lady has some twitchy movement that could have looked smoother. I think the idea holds up nicely with the houses she passes telling the story of her life. And it felt good to give her a break at the end of the animation and let her ride the stairs instead. I might not be as proud of the actual presentation. It's a bit boring before the end. Could have been a bit tighter.
